Austin Texas Wedding Photography
Wedding Photography inspiration
Although an Austin Texas based wedding photographer, I started back home and photographed the majority of my weddings in Washington state, highlighting the beauty of the Pacific Northwest in my couple’s wedding photographs. The joy and love that is shared on your wedding day is an absolute honor to capture, and you will see here some inspiration on how to have a gorgeous, stylized, and intentional wedding day that displays your love and captures artwork that you can cherish throughout your lives.
Sometimes the most intimate wedding is just the two of you. On your own adventure, marking the beginning of a new chapter in an amazing and unique way.

The Most Amazing Beach Portraits – Destination Wedding Photography
As a Destination wedding photographer, one of the most amazing experiences this summer was with these two.
I was so stoked to meet up with this rad couple in Washington and hop aboard their boat, the Sailing Kist.
From there we sailed for about 8 days and took portraits along the way.
This day in particular we anchored in a place known as Rebecca Spit, to photograph a quick session and take some amazing beach portraits.
Home is 100 percent where the heart is, and especially for this couple.
Sweet Megan and Derek have been clients of mine for their sweet Washington Greenhouse Elopement and are the dearest of friends of mine.
And their little family has just gotten a beautiful new home and we just had to celebrate this chapter of their life with what became the most romantic in home session.
Having a good wedding or elopement day morning is all about mindset, but it doesn’t help to have a few essentials in case things arise.
I have found a few helpful items over the years that really help you start your day smoothly, and put them into this list for a perfect wedding morning.

We have all heard the rhyme of wearing “something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue”, but where is the purpose of the something blue?
Historically it has come from a variety of cultures. The victorian era also included ” a sixpence in the shoe” and each momento was to add good luck and fortune for the nuptials.
The color blue is said to be representative of “fidelity and love’s purity.” Making it a popular color to wear prior to the white wedding dress trend.
Other cultures know it as a way to ward off evil spirits, since it is representative of such things, and adds a layer of protection over the marriage.
Regardless it is a way to add a little pop of color and nod to a historic way of adding luck to you and your spouse. And so here are some fun ways to combine a little ( or a lot) of something blue to your wedding or elopement.
It may seem trivial, but scents can be like memories as well. There have even been studies on how memories can be triggered by familiar smells. So why not mark your most amazing day together, with a beautiful new fragrance. That way every time you put it on, you remember the time you had together and how you were full of love and joy.
