I love to think out of the box for engagement shoots, and for those who love hiking, Texas offers an array of beautiful options. A favorite for me and this couple is Palo Duro. For a Texas engagement at Palo Duro Canyon State Park there are a few details you need to be aware of from weather alerts to trail tracking that I love guiding clients through.

That is right, even in Texas where the sun loves to shine, you have to watch the forecast especially in the canyon. There is a meter as you come in that lets you know what the UV rays are up to because they can be a force to be reckoned with. Even though it was winter, I was out hiking so much that my 50 spf from the morning didn’t last and I had a very adorable burn on my face haha. Please read with all sarcasm intended.
